The Lagos State Gov., Mr. Akinwunmi Ambode two years ago unveiled the master list of roads to be renovated across the state. According to the gov, his administration would consolidate on its infrastructural renewal drive in the current fiscal year, the government has announced the 181 roads that will be constructed across the 57 LGs/LCDAs.

Ambode earlier revealed that the 181 roads are an improvement on the 114 roads, two in each local government, which his administration promised to embark upon every year.

The governor further stressed that his administration thought it wise to ensure that the roads captured for 2017 are key roads that would have an economic impact on the people living in that axis.

In a bid to put the government on its toes and also to account for transparency, AutoReportNG followed up on TrackaNG and some NGO who went around to investigate how the contractors have fared and so far, some are yet to even start work while some contractors are nowhere to be found.

These are some roads that are captured in the #181LagosRoads but a sign of life yet.

1. Nwachukwu/Olusesi street - under Oshodi/Isolo LGA

Nwachukwu/Olusesi street - under Oshodi/I solo LGA is captured under the Lagos State #181LagosRoads but it seems the contractor has absconded and stopped work hereby leaving the whole place in a mess. Going by the LASG list, Nwachukwu/Olusesi street was meant to be an Asphaltic Concrete road. These are some of the pictures from the road.

2. The construction of Ajagunro road, Ikorodu LGA, Lagos State.
Status: Not started

Ajaguro Road in Ikorodu is another road which was captured in the master list of the #181LagosRoads. Ajagunro is an area in Imota, Ikorodu in Lagos but we are yet to see any of the contractors on sight. Pictures don't lie.

3. The construction of Aguda Crescent, Ikorodu LGA, Lagos State.
Status: Work Not Started

Aguda Crescent was among the roads money was allocated for as well but we are yet to see any sign of work or even a tractor in this community. These are pictures of the road.

4. The construction of Imale Talafia Street in Ibeju Lekki LGA, Lagos State.
Status: Work Not Started

Imale Talafia Street is located in Ibeju Lekki and according to our findings, Imale is among the #181LagosRoads and so far, nothing has been done on this road. These are pictures of the road.

5. The construction of Kadara street in Ebute- Metta, Mainland LGA, Lagos State.
Status: Work Not Started.

Kadara Street is an urban city in Ebute Metta, and it shares links with other streets which is closer to 3rd mainland Bridge. This street has been in shambles for ages until when the LASG decided to give it a face-lift but it seems the contractor is not ready to work yet.

They use tax payers money to construct the roads and then Tinubu brings in his company to collect tolls. Flawless!

Listing it for the next governor to take note and do the needful abi.. When you failed to do it yourself.

Ambode style of governance is so disorganized. Hardly has any project been completed in his tenure. Uncompleted projects everywhere.

I believe it was a deliberate attempt to have a reason to stay in power for 2nd term unfortunately he's gone.

There is no misquote. These roads are YET TO BE CONSTRUCTED!!! As are many other roads in Lagos that need rehabilitation including the roads in festac and Amuwo that is riddled with ditches bad drainage and potholes.And these repairs cannot be done Within the timeframe that governor ambode has left in office. So the responsibility will definitely be passed on to the next administration whether or not the contracts were awarded by this administration.. The key word is execution and time.

That's why I'm OK with Ambode being sent packing. He's a perfect example of the statement... Power Intoxicates.

Baba turned himself into an emperor in Lagos, took over LGA allocations and was giving them stipends of N2m a month. That's why many local roads in Lagos are bad.
Only to continue with where Fashola stopped he couldn't do that. Abandoned Badagry Road under construction to go start an unnecessary/not urgent BRT on Abeokuta express.

Also, the guy isn't smart all. Constructing multiple roads haphazardly without considering how commuters can access alternative routes. How can you construct both main road and alternative road simultaneously . No wonder Fashola didn't initially support him after interviewing all aspirants in 2014.

Am not a fan of what Tinubu did to ambode, nor am I fanatical about ambode himself, but for his own good I think it's better for him to account for this listed roads that have not being done if money has being disbursed not "allocated" they are two different things,sometimes our government officials tends to juxtapose the two together when they are presenting their "budgets".
