While the people of Amassoma community in Southern Ijaw Local Government Area of Bayelsa State are crying over massive flood which has ravaged most parts of their region, it has been gathered that the residents are also suffering from issue of snakes invading their homes.

According to a Facebook user, the snakes are now invading the residences of the villages most especially hiding in the ceiling in the flooded area. 

It was gathered that many snakes have been killed in the community withing a short period.

True. With flooding comes dangerous/wild animals who are also victims of the situation.

I can remember when, around 2013 or so, a big boa or python constricted a woman in an Isoko community that was flooded. In that same area and period, people saw animals like wild cats, dogs, crocodiles, venomous snakes, etc. It was not a nice experience at all.

Expected.
The Niger Delta region lies on the floodplain to several rivers, notably tributaries of River Niger. When rivers overflow its banks, flood will occur. I witnessed the one of 2012 in Ahoada West LGA, when I was on a project.
