Poem: African Time

Time ain't money
Time is life
When you waste time
You waste life
Not money

Respect is reciprocal
Respect time
Luck will smile at you
When you do otherwise
Opportunities fly away

Once I missed a flight
Then poor and proud
I paid dearly from reserve
Which I could have saved
Time ain't money
Time is life

Time ain't money
Once it is lost
It's like a broken hymen
It can never be recovered
Because time is life

Master time management
Then you will be positioned
On a part to greatness
Like a Soldier of fortune
Who understands timing
Along enemy lines

There is no African time
Just foolishman's time
Stop justifying mediocrity
Instead of taking responsibility
That's why you are there

Show some respect
To time and management
Lest you miss opportunities
Destined to make you hammer
Then you blame village witch

"Sun, stand still upon Gibeon"
"And you, Moon, in the valley of Ayalon.'
That was 3224 years back
Joshua reversed nature
Until vengeance was wrought
Because he understood time

The sons of Isachaar
Masters of time management
Knew the best course
At any point in time
What wisdom is this?

Many have gone
Stop foolishman's time
In the school of success
Timing is core
Be advised

Stop procrastination
Practice delegation
None is an icon of knowledge
When empowered
Humans perform exploits

You complain over time
Yet you are nomophobic
I pity your condition
Married to your phones
Soap operas and sports
Yet you blame time

Avoid uneccesaries
Complete your task on time
Tell yourself the magic phrase
"Weldone, I am proud of me"
Reward yourself for timeliness

Lack of respect for timing
Made some marry strangers
Now married but single
They wished they could go back
But time lost cannot be regained

i have lost a lot
Practising African time
Foolishman's time
Don't be like me
Learn from my mistakes
And respect time

Ever wasted time?
Repeat after me
I repent of my sins
Now that I am born again
I am a new creature
I will respect time
Because time is life
