A University will teach you to become a professional in a particular field but they will not teach you one of the most important skills of life: How to make money online or offline while you’re still a student..

Being in the university to learn doesn’t mean there’s something stopping you from honing your entrepreneurial skills.

The founders of several large companies that we know today started from the University.

Mark Zuckerberg founded Facebook from his college dormitory at Harvard in 2004.
Michael Dell founded Dell computers as a pre-med student in 1984.
Larry Page and Sergey Brin founded Google while studying for a much higher degree at Stamford. Who says you can’t create your own startup while at University? Even if your company doesn’t grow to become a million Naira or Million Dollar company, at least it can be giving you some good pocket money while you’re in school.

We have put together 6 businesses you can start right from the University with little or no capital.

They include:
Tutorials

If you’re an exceptionally brilliant student, you can teach other students on the various topics that were taught during lectures. You can have weekly tutorial classes and charge people a fee for participating.
Blogging

If you have specialized knowledge about something a lot of people are interested in, you can start a blog and begin to share your knowledge with people. If you are consistent with your blog and begin to get traffic to it, you can start to charge advertisers for ad spaces on your blog. Blogging is a good source of revenue if you have a lot of traffic.

Youtube/Vlogging

Vlogging is blogging in video form. You can create a Youtube channel and start shooting videos with your mobile phone and be uploading online. If you can build your Youtube subscribers to at least 1,000 subsribers, you can also begin to earn a revenue via the Youtube Monetization program. On Youtube you can vlog about anything from phones and gadgets to makeup and beauty depending on your passion.

E-commerce

You can buy quality items for cheap and sell them online for a profit. The good thing about e-commerce is you don’t need to build a website to sell your products. You can use your Instagram page to sell your products online. You can sell shoes, clothes, laptops, makeup etc.

Photography

If you have a passion for taking pictures, you can buy a professional camera and be taking professional pictures of students in your school and make money from it.

Project writing

Final year project writing is a very in demand service you can offer while in University. A lot of students need help writing their final year projects and if you can do the research and help them write their project, you will be making a decent income from the service.

What business do you have in mind to do?
