judity:

my problem is i am 25,1.6m tall and weigh 53kg.i started my period when i was 15, since then my period has been very irregular, last year i did some an ultrasound and some hormonal tests and my results were-
prolactin-14.01ng/ml, Estradol- 91.7pg/ml, LH-32.06mIu/ml, FSH-9.518mIu/ml. the ultrasound-normal.the doctor prescribed microgynon 30 and vit e. for 3 months. While i was taking the drugs, my period was regular, but immediately i stopped, it has bin irregular since then sometimes not coming for like 90 days, but something remarkable is that since i stopped the pills, i always have a tingling feeling around my n.i.p.p.l.e. about a week before my period.
i saw my period last around middle of june and it lasted for about 7days which is quite abnormal,my period usually lasts between 4-5days.it also came while i was having the tingling feeling instead of 1 week after.Presently, i have noticed a brownish-bloodlike scanty discharge for about 3 days now.i am so confused and worried.pls help me.
Seeing a gynaecologist is quite difficult here and the tests also are quite expensive. thanks , waiting for your reply

I suspect you meant to post this to the Obs/Gynae thread. Please do and @kathyekiti will soon get back to you. It's too specialized in its details for my general-duty medical skills.

doctor,l ve a lot of black spots on my face,l ve used a lot of facial treatment bt it is still there and am light in complexion,l also ve this mucus like stuff in my throat,it's been there for a longtime now,l ve used antibotics bt it is still there, pls advice on wat l should do?

About the black spots, I can understand your situation especially as your complexion is light. Instead of experimenting, I suggest you see an expert Cosmetologist and I'm going out of my way to recommend one here: Chique Afrique, on Thurbourne Avenue, Yaba, Lagos (Near Domino Stores).

About the phlegm hanging about in the throat. If there is no soreness in the throat, and just phlegm for a chronic period of time, I suggest you stop all antibiotic usage for now. Clear your throat lightly, not strongly. Strongly can cause some micro-damages which would cause the throat to react by pouring out more mucus. Also, try some restraint - ignore it a bit, for a long time. It probably will eventually ease-up

I should have noticed you are female, sorry. O.k. I suggest then that you check your PCV in the lab and you get your BP checked to be sure. Good that the head-spinning is reducing in frequency.

They could have also been contributed to by a time of more work with little time-out to recuperate and replenish used-up body metabolites.

tks surgeon. my last PCV test was low.

This may well explain the light-headedness. Hope you've been adviced to maintain a balanced diet rich in vitamins and minerals. You should be on a blood Tonic, too.

I can only give you my word, here. I'm qualified. However, the usual disclaimer applies here as in any health-advisory editorial anywhere - there is no better substitute than seeing your medical doctor eye-ball to eye-ball.

You then can demand for his licence before consultation. He'll then probably charge you good and proper smiley

You are probably normal. However I wish you had quantified the time it takes for you to e j a c u l a t e after penetration. Most healthy men average about 2 - 3 minutes. It depends, however on a number of factors.

In the disease, Premature e j a c u l a t i o n, the man ejaculates either just before he manages to penetrate, or very few seconds after penetration.

Hello. Your best bet is to see a Dermatologist. On another hand, you could try this prescription: Clotrimazole cream e.g Canesten, applied to the scaley areas (and 1.0 centimetre border beyond the edges), twice daily after bathing and towel-drying, for 4 weeks. It's assumedly a Fungal rash.

Events may have superceded this doctor's advice - your friend needs to see a doctor especially as she is vomitting and may therefore require more than just oral medication.

Did you mean to say "body itching after bathing usually 4 some minutes"? Interesting question, if so. I get this question every now and then.

It's all about the connection between your brain and your body. Foreign objects on the body surface tend to tickle or irritate or excite some nerve-endings on the skin like dust, dust-mites, and so on. The brain normally blocks these excitation-signals for you to be able to have a normal day. However, when the balance changes, e.g. after becoming squeeky-clean from a soapy bath, or when the brain is "reminded" of extra-itchy/ extra-sensitive areas of times past, like the crevices at the privates, you begin feeling the itch.

It is the same sense in explanation, as when one is able to hold his urge to urinate all the while, but appears almost unable to do so at the last minute on getting to the convenience. The balance that the brain had been holding all the while, begins to fail on waking-up to the reality of the urge, upon the arrival at the convenience.

Yes, I am. Particularly if there are no associated other symptoms and signs like an obvious rash, etc.

Visiting a Dentist is your best bet to find a solution. Hopefully, there'll be a cure. Some teeth stains are practically permanent, orthers may not be so. As such, good-luck with what the Dentist diagnosis!

Hi doc, thanks for the wonderful work you have been doing so far. About three years ago, i suddenly developed a small mole at the tip of my nose that looks like i got my nose pierced, it dosent hurt but at the initial stage i tried cutting it but it just ended up growing back. I please need a solution to it. Also, i suddenly developed severe back pain and was unable to bend down for two weeks. In the course of doing tests, it was discovered that my blood level is low, 35% precisely. Please what is the cause of the sudden loss in my blood cos i get dizzy all the time.

Hi. If you've tried cutting this "mole" once before, what you now have may simply be a scar. Or, perhaps it's a Wart. Warts can be treated with chemical agents, so see a doctor to confirm.

A PCV of 35% isn't too low of a red blood cell count. It may have dropped gradually rather than suddenly, as you suggested, maybe from not eating a balanced diet. You could suppliment your meals with a standard Blood Tonic like Astyfer

A`Heart Attack would give rise to a chest pain usually as a result of increased Heart activity during physical exersion (like climbing several flights of stairs) or emotional aggitation/excitement.

In your case, you describe feeling chest pain only when the chest wall undergoes expansion (breathing-in) or contraction (bending forward; lying on the side, etc). It points more to a problem of the connective tissue - i.e. of muscles, tendons or ligament, or possibly a Lung disease.

@ surgeon.
Doc, who is the best consultant for cases of erectile dysfunction and quick expulsion? There is a lot of herbal prescriptions given even on this thread, but I feel any cure one starts whithout knowing the causes or run medical tests does not give you security against future reoccurance. Advice.

For the two conditions mentioned, the right specialist to see is a consultant Urologist.

Doc Surgeon, what could be the cause of constant hotness or heat in the body particularly at the back along the spinal cord and around the privates?
AND what can I use for treatment?

Too little information to work with, I'm afraid. This shows the advantage of going for a consultation where more facts can be derived.
