RE: EFCC To Push For Diezani’s Extradition by Nbote(m): 11:00am On Nov 05, 2018
Reports broke dis morning dat Former Petroleum Resources Minister Diezani Alison-Madueke is to be extradited from Britain and dat the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) is to approach Attorney-General of the Federation Abubakar Malami( SAN) this week with a request to file charges against Mrs Alison-Madueke based on its findings as reported by The Nation newspaper...

When allegations first started coming to light of Diezani's involvement in various financial misappropriation during her time as Minister. Nigerians were baffled by d level of supposed embezzlement perpetrated by her office and her cronies and her purported escape to d UK didn't help her case. In d eyes of Nigerians thru what dey had seen so far in the media, she was guilty as charged as Nigerians became Judge, Jury and Executioner in her case. The EFCC and govt played on those sentiments by continually feeding d media trial with more reports and allegations.

It's a gud thing d EFCC are fighting a war on corruption and corrupt persons but dis Diezani's case is beginning to sound quite familiar with d EFCC now sounding like a broken record.

This new extradiction claim is absolutely laughable becos jus in October 2017, news broke thru various media outlets and news agencies dat Mrs Diezani had thru her attorney asked to return to face d charges d govt claims to have built against her. In d words of d EFCC

Zakari said, “That the applicant, seeing that the investigation by the Metropolitan Police had reached advanced stage and that trial in the instant charge before this honourable court is proceeding smoothly, had designed the instant application to distract and scuttle both her investigation and imminent prosecution in the United Kingdom the trial before this honourable court.

The EFCC at d time claimed she was trying to run away from prosecution in d UK. Now what has happened to dat UK investigations d EFCC claimed Mrs Diezani was running From?? Has she been found guilty or d case is no longer going in their favour?

Why exactly did d EFCC turn down her request to come back and face d charges dey claim to have against her? What were dey afraid of? What has changed between den and Now? Dey need to stop taking Nigerians for a ride and do d needful if dey have a case against her or jus simply stop fooling demselves by bringing up her case every now and den to score some points.. Nigerians are tired of hearing d same story over and over again..
