Amateurs we were learning how to dance together. Oh!
Our aim wasn’t perfection,
Just fun and adaptation
There were some mistakes I’d admit
Say some indecision and a few steps we omit(ed)
We did step on each other’s toes and it hurt, I confess
But with our eyes glued together, we realised the value of tears
Tears that ruin the beautiful smile and disfigure the face
The pain and the anguish, we embraces
We didn’t quit dancing; we figured it out together
'coz we couldn’t risk any asunder.

We created our own simple moves
Anyone expecting the status quo should please, Move!
Over the years, we have danced through the sun and the rain
In the valleys and on the mountains
Don’t get it twisted dear,
We are still dancing to the sweet melody of life till we disappear
It is true we have mastered our moves over the years, Jewel
But we hold on to the memories; they are what makes life beautiful.
