What Is A Chat Of Account? A chart of accounts (COA) is a financial organizational tool that provides a complete listing of every account in an accounting system. An account is a unique record for each type of asset, liability, equity, revenue and expense.
In Sage 50, Each Account is identified by a number. Account numbers are typically organized into logical groupings, like this:
1000 – 1999 Asset Accounts
2000 – 2999 Liability Account
3000 – 3999 Equity Account
4000 – 4999 Revenue Account
