✓ .com domains are better: although there are other domain extensions like .biz, .org, .co, .info, .trade, .ng, etc.that someone can buy, I personally advise that you buy those with .com extension. So you have to make sure that you purchase only quality domains name that relates to a business or organizations so that you can get target buyers or at least maximum number of buyers.

2, you can buy a new domain name or expired one. If someone is selling a domain name that you would like to buy, ask them why they are selling it. What forced them to sell their domain name?

Most of sellers would clearly tell you everything but not all the sellers. So if you find anything doubtful, don’t go for it.

3, Many website owners decide to sell their website if they receive any Google penalty. They may have tried to get rid of the problem; but they couldn’t. So they decide to sell it as soon as possible.

When Google penalty hits any site, the number of visitors starts to reduce slowly. The best way to find out their traffic trends by visiting Alexa or Quantcast and comparing the last three months’ traffic trends.

So if the website is penalized, the domain is obviously not the right choice.

4, You can surely buy a domain name and flip it for more profit. But it’s always a good idea to get some backlinks from other sites to your domains.

It really doesn’t take long time as it may seem to you.

It will make your domain more powerful and improve its overall quality. So you can sell it at a much higher price.
