Indian Man Scams Phone Buyer In Lagos by EmagNig(m): 1:13pm On Dec 12, 2018
An Indian man scams phone buyer in Lagos after he allegedly sold to him a fake Samsung S9 phone for N100,000.

According to the man who took to his Instagram page to report the incident, the Indian man claimed he needed to sell the phone to raise cash to travel back to his country. But he only realised the phone was fake after he had parted with N100,000

He wrote:

I got the shock of my life today, I wanted to change phone so I contacted a guy that assured me that he will get me a very good one. I was driving when I received a call from the guy, that someone wants to sell his phone, that I should hurry down.

I got there, he introduced me to one Indian guy, that the Indian guy wants to sell his phone, what I saw was a galaxy s9 plus, I asked him how much, he said 250k, that he needed money to travel back to India because he was stranded.

I inspected the phone, not an extensive check though, I offered to pay 100k, he agreed, I immediately headed straight to the bank and withdrew 100k and handed it over to him.

I only realized that it was a fake phone he sold to me, when I noticed that it's front camera was sealed with plastic after taking a very close look, To make things worse, that money wasn't mine, I had the intentions of buying then resell at a higher price.

This phone looks so real! He even gave me the phone receipt, we even took pics together, find attached copies of the receipt, the phone and the Indian guy's pictures. I know quite well that when this post get shared some people will make foul comments, but just pray not to face worse situation, Please beware

Samsung S9 for 100k and you foolishly dropped money. The only way he can get such phone that cheap is it's stolen. Someone consciously going to buy a ridiculously cheap possibly stolen item deserves no sympathy when scammed

If you have ever worked with Indians before, you will know they are more dubious than Nigerians.

And to add insult to injury, our 'useless' police and army personnel will escort them with sirens blaring everywhere

Typical Poor and greedy African man, the money wasn't even yours, forget about planning to resell it because if you wanted to, you wouldn't have rushed to buy a second hand phone for 100k,you wanted to leave above your means. Serves you right. Mind you, you are not close to anything called Guy man, you be Mugu!

when i travelled to france and got stranded, i sold my iphone 7 which was just launched then for as little as 200 euros just to get cash to add up for my airticket. besides i have sold several stuffs cheap when i got into very tight situations. no be everything wey person sell cheap is fake or stolen. this nigerian mentality is annoying.
