yea, i agree. becos pple in lower places to the footprint i.e in Kenya and Tanzania are receiving it with 1.8 and 2.4. Here with both some pple says they cant track it

what was your signal strenght on 11727?

twinskenny,I tried with my 2.4m no show on strong at all i changed the receiver to my old technosat T888 which i believe is very sensitive to signal all i got was just 15-20%.note,if the signal is close to 35% on the technosat i should hit green but no way.it jumped between 15 and 20% meaning its a weak signal and cannot bring picture

My conclusion,those 3 transponders may be very weak compare to kenya and tanzania.
we may need a better lnb couple with a good dish and a sound technical know how to get it right.

ABU DHABI SPORT ON 11449 SIGNAL TOO IS WEAK BUT I WAS ABLE TO RECEIVE IT UP TO 48 TO 50% YET THE SIGNAL VERY WEAK.

from another forum some have been receiving the signal in spain,Germany and other parts of europe,some with good signal other with bad signal.

lets not rush into tracking 201 yet. i think they may still be finetuning the transponders.

I tried the nilesat 201 tp 11727 on my 2.4m dish here in onitsha and i got the signal - about 66%
They were reciting prayers in arabic and writing them as if they were lyrics to a song.
the other tps were down, couldn't get them.

my update this evening.i tried 12092 from a friends 4m dish the signal is 60% but not stable,its off and on ,i think i may stick to what George said ,lets give 201 a little time for everything to be 100% ok.

@all with my 2.4m pan ,all the tree tps are @65% signal strength.

can i track Ad-Sport on nilesat 201 with 63x decoder?

I got 11211 and 11727 here in Abuja with Strong 4669x on my 2.4m dish. I cant remember the percentage of the signal.

we are progressing on 201 at least we are getting positive result from enugu to onitsha now is abuja.signal strenght and dish size is very important.keep it up.

traditionally the north doesn't have problems with nilesat signal so we should concentrate on south-south and east.

I track nilesat 201 today here in lagos with 55% for Ad sport and 57% for Alj sport. on 3m dish and fuji hd 4 ways lnb.

for Ad sport Hd i use 4669x to get the signal, i didnot get the signal when i use 4663x.

@all if u read my post above, u would know my worry. I cant go beyond 1.8m for 201 in my official residence in Lagos. My fear is since 3m was only able to track 55% in Lagos, what happens to 1.8m? Im in ikoyi. My fingers are still crossed though.

dont worry urself, 1.8m dish will track nilesat 201 soon, i didnt cool down in my tracking because of rain. i can get more than that if the weather is ok and i cool down. i know i can get up 70 to 75%.

My fellow blog mates, is it possible to catch Nilesat 201 in Southern Zambia @ latitude -16.8 S and 26.7 E. If possible what size of dish and LNB types. Thanks to anyone with this info.

nilesat 201 is taking too long in making any significant impact on our overall signal strenght i'm beginning to wonder if that footprint map can be relied upon.

personally before i will take this serious is when i begin to see appreciable changes in difficult tranponders like cnn, gear one, etc. as at this morning, unfortunately no such improvements yet.
