judging by kungu signal strength we should not expect much increase in signal strength here or tracking with smaller dish,  but I think in Lagos 2.4m dish will bring the bird down,

williams,if you have already made Nile set up just check the signal strenght its the same dish position and satellite.I observe that without changing my old dish position the signal just pop up.

kungu,i have not found ADMS on any of the satellite website and you said you have ADMS.how come am not getting it?it sound interesting can you throw more light.Check the afore mentioned channels and give the house your signal strenght.

kungu ADMS is flashing back according to flysat,i will check if its receivable .i guess its off while i was trying it in the morning.

From my experience with fringe satellite  reception, i have noted that areas, like yours, DVB-S2 signal should be more difficult to get then DVB-S signal especially if FEC of the frequecy is @ 5/6.
The solution is to get either a slightly larger offset dish or better still a high gain LNB eg Inverto ultra black or Invacom which work best on fringe satellite reception.  Am awaiting confirmation on reception of Nilesat 201 in tanzania dar es salaam from a fellow sat mate in http://forum.paytv.ro/showthread.php?t=36090&page=285  using either a 1.3 offset of 2.4 prime focus dish.

i was able to view this location (dar es salaam) wit a Google map.
i observed that its way off the foot print of 201.
if someone can receive the signal with 120cm in this path,i think we in nigeria can do so wit
180cm(no matter ur location)

@kungu&obnelly. Which is the best lnbf for nilesat? I presently use fuji on my 4metres dish to watch nilesat 101/102 but still have challenges with cnn&bbc. I read above where kungu recomended inverto or invacom. Are they better than fuji? Cos i feel like changing mine.
2, can 1.8metre dish track nilesat 201? Let someone try&feed us

try it urself and see. If u cant get it then it means you cant nail it with 1.8.

If 1.8m is nailing in 101 and 102 Nigeria, then 201 should not be an exception.
Your problem is that you dont want to be the one to try, only waiting for someone to tell u it is possible.
U try it urself, and u could then be the one to start giving others the guide.

@spaceman,thanks for your advise but not that i don't want to try it.i'm planning to buy a big dish,so i want to know the size either 1.8m or 2.4m that can nail the bird in ogbomosho area.so i don't depend on ready made,i prefer doing research then feeds others.
