The management of Bowen University has expelled 29 students and further suspended 26 others indefinitely over an alleged anti-social behaviour. Bowen University announced the expulsion of the 29 students and indefinite suspension of the 26 students in a statement issued by the institution’s Registrar, Dr K. A. Ogunleye and uploaded on the school's website. The expelled students are: Olajola, Enoch, SMS/017/18473, Ogundiran, Joshua, SMS/017/18427, Kekemeke, Godswill, LAW/017/18012, Kekemeke, Victory, LAW/016/17159, HABU, Emmanuel, SMS/018/19558, Udofot, David, HUM/018/19631. Noble-Nnakenyi, Promise, SMS/018/18886, Danjuma, Alhamdu, SCI/018/18969, ADESANYA, Joshua, SSE/017/17994, Ademola, Olasunkanmi, SMS/017/18207, Musa, Moses, HUM/018/19395, Tolufase, Michael SMS/016/18603, Aprebo, Michael, AGR/013/12421, Okosun, Joshua, SMS/017/18132, Joseph, Caleb, SSE/016/15165, and Azeez, Ayobami, SMS/016/16958. Good for them Excellence and Godliness must never be compromised! Wetin dem eye don see sef? I was there from the very scratch, when we would trek 2km to fetch water I was there when there was no light for weeks and the small gen was always faulty When we were staying in thick forest and we killed all types of snake and wild animals everyday When we had Chapel in the open field under the sun and rain I was there when adults were students and we had only one notion in mind; Graduate I was there when school fees kept doubling for no justifiable cause I stood and conquered, so did many of us... There were flaws, we saw it, but we didn't want to see it We wanted to GRADUATE We took alcohol and did some nasty stuffs codedly, but we were mature about it and was always well behaved; give unto ceaser what is ceasers. I look back and I thank God that I went to that school because it became my ladder to greater things. I graduated 12 years ago and I can't even remember all the stuff I went through, it was just for a short time Now that the school is great in resources some kids are complaining If people like, let them say you are in a glorified secondary school, or primary sef,na their business, yours is to graduate with good grades and go and proof your worth to the world Instead of trying to copy secular schools and getting yourself expelled.
