if some1 were a good problem solver but didnt know language X, would you consider such a one? Problem solving is harder to learn than language syntax.

this language tribalism sef? Isnt that what led to marvel/nigerian civil war(s). We should unite. So ... How about the programming community dropped their differences and adopted a universal language? I see javascript being that ONE lang.

That wont likely occur so , y doesnt some mega corp create a universal translator that can simpler take language A and spit out language B. That would solve this issue and make d companies tonnes of money.
