Everton are hopeful striker Henry Onyekuru will be able to get a work permit to play in the Premier League this summer.

The Nigerian star scored 22 goals and registered nine assists during the 2016-17 campaign to finish as joint top scorer in Belgium's top flight and spark a race for his signature.

Everton fended off the interest off clubs including Arsenal and Celtic, but have not been able to play him due to eligibility issues.

However, According to the Liverpool Echo, the Blues are growing increasingly hopeful that they will have a robust case to present to the Football Association in order to get the green light to to use a player who will have been on the books at Goodison for over two years by the start of next season.

The 21-year-old spent last season on loan at Anderlecht where a promising start which was cut short by a knee injury which required surgery.

With his body size as a striker in the EPL I doubt his performance. Must they play in EPL ? I doubt his pace sef. EPL players most especially defenders are mostly giant and tackle anyhow just to render so many players useless. EPL ain't the ultimate I prefer our players in Porto,Benfica,Ajax,Shaktar,Lyon and few better clubs to being in few midtable clubs in the EPL that fight for nothing.

Brov, it's quite obvious you haven't seen this lad play close up.
What makes Onyekuru exciting is actually his speed, the dude is rapid
