I do not get it with CAF. Isnt it after the CAN in January that this award is presented?  
Besides, on what grounds has Yaya won it? Impact with club/country or personal capabilities? I think André Ayew was the best amongst the 3.

seriously In as much as I wanted Toure 4 a change, though he had a fairytale year, I guess the only African who sparkled was Osaze Odemwinge, I mean what he did wiv west brom was wondeful.

Nice one Yahya! About time a defensive midfielder/defender gets the award. I feel so sad cos their contributions are not usually aknowledged unlike strikers. If only Michael Essien can get his mojo back and win an individual award before he calls it quits

No offence to yaya but i think ayew deserved this more than him. Considering his influence on his team this year alone should win it for him. Besides he has more goals than both guys, cant see how he came third
