babaearly:Maybe because the gospels are about "The Life of Jesus?" I'm sure thousands of wedding occured during His lifetime yet only this one was mentioned because He was there and probably more importantly - that's where He performed His first miracle. Not because the writer was trying to chronicle the marriage itself . . . well at least if you believe the biblical account. Cheers. |

Another verse to notice is at John 2:5. Why was Jesus giving instructions to servants in another mans wedding? |

babaearly: The wedding of Yashu’a Bar Maryam (aka Jesus son of Mary) took place in Cana in Galilee. The reception was in Bethany at Yashua’s own house (Jesus’s own house). The reason why it was not recorded was because the Essenes vowed celibacy. It would’ve been a travesty to hear that one of their own had defected and married other that with the approval of the Rabb the head of the order for the sole purpose of reproduction. Bethany is where he lived with Martha, Lazarus, and his wife Mary Magdalene after the wedding. When he defected from the Essene’s village, Lazarus, his student, took him in. This was many years before he knew that he would marry Lazarus’ sister. |

Yes o! he was shouting while bleeping mary magdaline with fresh olive oil, while all the guest where consume with fresh and sweetest vino mezzo rosso. If not how can a man-god provide a wine in another man-man wedding. So god eat, sleep, cried, run for his life why not jolificate by bleeping the hell out of mary magdaline. I pressume he was still a virgin or is there any account of god having extra marital affairs Confusionist *sigh* |

yoji:whats this trash? Can jesus be compared with the pple u mentioned? No one said jesus was organizing drinks. Mary knem how powerful her so is,likewise those that invited him. They needed a miracle to save the day&turned to the person powerful to do that which is jesus. Neither of the M.O.G we have now could be compared with jesus |

It must have been a relative's wedding. Jesus was only invited there. John 2:2 2 And both Jesus was called, and his disciples, to the marriage. There was a bridegroom. There , he wasn't Jesus, John 2:9 9 When the ruler of the feast had tasted the water that was made wine, and knew not whence it was but the servants which drew the water knew the governor of the feast called the bridegroom, In Israel, honeymoon is a full year, Jesus left the wedding with his mum , his brothers and disciple but no wife! John 2:12 12 After this he went down to Capernaum, he, and his mother, and his brethren, and his disciples: and they continued there not many days. JESUS NEVER MARRIED. |
