Hostgator: Is It Worth Your Money? by johnsteve786: 7:48pm On Feb 26, 2019
Hi guys,

I know HostGator is a big brand among bloggers, webmasters, and individuals users to get cheap web hosting under their budget. In fact, I am also using their services but there are many users who claim and rank HostGator as one of the worst hosts. I don't why, do you know?

Secondly, what would be the main reasons if you have to ditch HostGator and look for some reliable alternatives similar to HostGator?

If I had to say I would say, their customer support is a bit slower compared to many hosting services in the same pricing range.

Hi,

I think the basic question is: what do bloggers, webmasters or individuals who purchase webhosting really want? My brief answer is SUPPORT.

I have used HostGator before for my own websites; I have worked on customer owned hosting from HostGator, etc., I am a techie so I can help myself, and others. I dont need to wait for HostGator before getting basic things done.......as long as its not a server-down related issue.

I have also used many other hosting providers.

There is no perfect hosting brand out there, and its often the same set of people that provide support. BlueHost, HostGator, HostMonster, JustHost all collocate in the same datacenter. HostGator, BlueHost, iPage, SiteBuilder, BigRock, Domain.com, BuyDomains, RS are all owned by the same company.

so you see, hosting money is just going round and round.

If you need support with your HostGator hosting / website, I can help. Chat me up, details in my signature below.

I recently reviewed many web hosting providers including HostGator, BlueHost, InMotion, SiteGround, WPEngine, Kinsta, GreenGeeks, and many more, and crafted an article on Blue Host Alternatives and similar services which can be check here: https://alterwebhost.com/bluehost-alternatives/

Though it is not about HostGator alternatives but as both companies work under a single parent company so one can make use of above mention list to find related hosts.

If you don't want to go through the whole article, I would like to suggest these providers for a reliable yet fastest support.
SiteGround
InMotionHosting

As long as it gives no problems, no reason to ditch it

Siteground is a good host, but now the problem is they increased their prices but also ask for a fee of $30 for data center selection which is totally weird.
Priced increased by 70% sad
Besides Siteground you can try:
1.FastComet
2. GreenGeeks
3. BlueHost
4. Hostinger
5. WPXHosting - For Managed WordPress Hosting
6. Kamatera - For Best Cloud Hosting

Thanks
