@marutimon, I wonder where this thread would be without you Anyway, no worry. . . hopefully you'll get your reward @ the end of the year I've watched some of the goals and all I can say is Naija get players o. Emmanuel Emenike, Kennedy Igboananike and Sylvester Igboun's goals in particular were very good. Eguavoen and Siasia need to give some of these lesser known players a chance |

Jarus: Lol. . .that makes two of us He's been the live-wire and mainstay of this thread and his single minded devotion to it is nothing short of amazing Maybe there ought to be a Nairaland Hall of Fame where members are inducted to for their outstanding contributions to the different sections. . .you can take that as a hint |

Re: Goals From Nigerians All Over The World by marutimon: 7:42am On Sep 22, 2011 |
Thanks for the confidence vote. Felt that we should have some place where we can at least notice how the Eagles are doing, Besides - if I didn't fill in I'm sure people would have. I've just made them lazy Found it! John Chibuike below - mostly goals against IK Start. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xxy8BHIFUA0 ---------------- 21/09/2011 (Wednesday) French League 1st Div. AC Ajaccio - Montpellier HSC 1:3 35' John Utaka (Montpellier HSC) (0:3) Finland Veikkausliiga League Jaro - KuPS 1:1 58' Olajide Williams (KuPS) (1:1) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=73n8CbxX-fs (starting 2:45) Finland Ykkonen League Div. 1 FC Popa - Viikingit 1:5 90' Victor Solomon (FC Popa) (1:5) KNVB Beker VVSB - PSV Eindhoven 0:8 90' Rabiu Ibrahim (0:8) Opposition wasn't strong, but Rabiu scored 5 minutes after entering as a sub. Will try to find highlights. Norway NM Cupen Fredrikstad - Brann 0:2 85' Kim Ojo (Brann) (0:2) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=soKJjDY9bEc Denmark Cup Dalgaard - Hobro 1:4 9' Justice John Erhenede (Hobro) (1:0) 42' Adeshina Lawal (Hobro) (2:0) |
Re: Goals From Nigerians All Over The World by semid4lyfe(m): 8:53am On Sep 22, 2011 |
marutimon: Watched it. . . noticed he's naturally left footed but also uses his right fairly well and has some ''silky'' skills Not a bad player and it wouldn't be bad to have someone like him attacking down the left wing for the Eagles By the way, how many goals does Kim Ojo of SK Brann have now? |
Re: Goals From Nigerians All Over The World by marutimon: 10:17am On Sep 22, 2011 |
That goal was by Kim Ojo was in the Cup, not the league. Kim Ojo is on 12 goals for the season in the league. He has also scored 3 goals in 6 cup games (yesterday was his third). BTW That was the semifinal game, so Brann will now play the final and then it will be Europa League action for them. --- I don't really understand why Okoronkwo is being called up by Siasia, when other Nigerians have been way better in the same leagues, BTW: Anthony Ujah moved to Mainz after his goalstorm in Norway and has fallen off the radar. |
Re: Goals From Nigerians All Over The World by Jarus(m): 10:47am On Sep 22, 2011 |
This thread has been my go-to place for monitoring the performance of Naija players in the last one year. I would never have heard of Kim Ojo and co if not for this thread. |
Re: Goals From Nigerians All Over The World by semid4lyfe(m): 12:42pm On Sep 22, 2011 |
marutimon: Watched Anthony Ujah play for Mainz as a substitute in their 1-3 loss to Kaiserslaurten in the Bundesliga on Saturday. His problem is that he doesn't start for them and only makes late substitute appearances so his goal scoring chances are limited |

Found a snippet of the Rabiu Ibrahim goal: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7oEiqaQ_9Y4 Solomon Okoronkwo's Aalesunds SK will play Kim Ojo's and Bentley Akabueze's Brann in the Norwegian Cup final. 22/09/2011 (Thursday) Norway Tippeligaen Rosenborg BK - Sogndal 2:1 82' John Chibuike (Rosenborg FK) (2:1) That's 5 goals in 3 games for the midfielder. God knows we need attacking midfielders! Siasia? He also won the penalty which resulted in the first goal (he missed the resuliting penalty shot, but that was converted by his teammate in the end) http://www.tv2.no/sport/fotball/tippeligaen/trondheims-stoerste-helt-john-chibuike-3592398.html Finland Ykkonen League Div. 1 PS Kemi - PK-35 3:0 13' Emenike Uchenna Mbachu (PS Kemi) (1:0) 55' Emenike Uchenna Mbachu (PS Kemi) (2:0) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TzC_8dAEHzA |

Is Obafemi Martins still injured? |
Re: Goals From Nigerians All Over The World by marutimon: 9:34am On Sep 27, 2011 |
Don't know about Martins, but he didn't feature in the last game. 26/09/2011 (Monday) Romania Divizia A Pandurii - Astra Petrolul 1:2 3' Kehinde Fatai (Astra Petrolul) (0:1) Apparently the guy won best player in Romania. Plays as striker / AM / RW. Maybe worth a look? Nonetheless all the goals I have seen of his are predatory goals, not well worked ones. Here is Fatai's previous goal: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mtsUZhtT0DI Here is yesterdays: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fManVfIWVo8 Swedish League Allsvenskan Gefle - Kalmar 1:1 29' Abiola Dauda (Kalmar) (0:1) His goal is at 0:55 (a real quality screamer), but its worth watching the the first minute of the highlights, as Dauda had some great moves before his goal. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VrYAQIhHEH0 |

Re: Goals From Nigerians All Over The World by marutimon: 7:39am On Oct 01, 2011 |
I reported Brown 30/09/2011 (Friday) German Bundesliga 2nd Div. Alemannia Aachen - FSV Frankfurt 1:3 53' Macauley Chrisantus (FSV Frankfurt) (1:1) 69' Macauley Chrisantus (FSV Frankfurt) (1:2) 86' Macauley Chrisantus (FSV Frankfurt) (1:3) Classic hattrick + he scored with his left foot, right foot and his head. The first goal is nice, the other two are predatory goals. I believe this is Chrisantus's first career hattrick and hopefully its a sign that he is finally fulfilling his promise. That puts his tally up to 5 goals for the season. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9kK_n2bq7QM Malta Premier League Qormi F.C - Floriana 1:1 25' Charles Nwoke (Qormi F.C.)
