Ops you have done well. It's feels nice using ABB. I think something should be done to get the airport busy and ensure regular flights. Alot of people in Anambra prefer to travel to Enugu to fly...

Re: 20 Things To Know About The Asaba Airport by Nobody: 2:07pm On Mar 04, 2019
Uche Okpuno and Uduaghan are a curse to Delta state. It's very sad how Okponu as rich as he is, allowed himself to be used by Uduaghan to cause pain and sorrow to his people. All the contracts Uduaghan awarded to Ukponu were later inflated up to 3x the initial project cost, project funds released and later abandoned without execution. The projects includes The Asaba Airport, Marian Babangida way, DLA road, Asaba Ugheli road etc. Uduaghan used an indigene to perpetrate the highest level of wickedness against Asaba people. Since the coming on board of Okowa, all these contracts were reawarded and executed by another company. If Nigeria is a sensible country, Okowa ought to probe these contracts and make sure Uduaghan and Ukponu end up in jail. This is how they waste and syphone public money.

Since Asaba/Onitsha is nodal town like Ore in Ondo state, won't it be wise to station the airport as a hub for goods heading to the East. It may even serve parts of Ondo and Ogun state. It's location is very stategic.

It should eventually become a hub

I feel in private hands it should achieve that potential especially with heavy marketing.

I will like to have your opinions.
Exactly

As beautiful as the airport looks , they don’t have a speaker (public address system) to announce arrivals and departures.
They practically have to clap to catch your attention and make announcements about departures and arrivals.
It needs an upgrade.

Yes, they need to upgrade. But it is fast becoming a commercial airport. Air Peace and 1 other airline conduct daily flights to Asaba from Lagos. But it is only 1 return flight per day. On Fridays sometimes or public holidays, it increases to two flights.

But the frequency of flights is too low. Trying to get a direct flight to Asaba is often difficult, as the existing airline seats are often oversubscribed. Something needs to be done about this.
