NIGERIAN COMPASS       Thursday 25 March 2010:  I quote " The Nigerian-born inventor of Anti Corrosive Special Paint for QIT (Trans steel Blue White Enamel Quick Air Dry) and the founder of Comandclem Nigeria Limited, Prof Clement Uwemedimo, has gone to the United Kingdom to secure payment order and enforcement from the World Agency for Intellectual Property to infringers of his invention.  The invention is described as the first and only enabling chemical that makes oil exploration possible and easier globally, especially in the country where corrosion menace pervades.  Mobil Producing Nigeria Unlimited challenged Comandclem and Uwemedimo in court over the ownership of the invention.  Recently, the Court of Appeal, Calabar  Judicial Division, declared the firm as the true inventor.   Justice Kumai Bayang (JCA) presiding judge of the Appeal Court, who delivered the unanimous final judgment on the much celebrated case, acknowledged and recognised the expertise, efficiency and proficiency of Uwemedimo, which actually reflected in his invention of the Anti Corrosive Special Paint.  However, the monetary aspect of the legal tussle was not decided but the court implored Uwemedimo/CCNL to proceed to the Supreme Court and have that settled there."  That was the Compass newspaper report on Comandclem.  You read how  Justice Kumai recognised Prof Uwemedimo in his final judgment?
