1. Toyota Camry vs Toyota Corolla: which one is bigger?
- Toyota Camry is bigger than Corolla with longer and wider body, particularly offering more cargo space.
- Drivers of Corolla may enjoy nearly the same experience as in Camry but rear passengers suffer from more narrow seating space with lower head and leg room.
- Being bigger, Toyota Camry is much heavier than a Corolla while both can accommodate 5 passengers at once.

2. Camry vs Corolla fuel consumption & engine performance
Either Toyota Camry or Toyota Corolla is renowned for its fuel efficiency which can hardly be surpassed by other models. However, we can still find the winner between these two, thanks to our detailed statistics.

The fuel tank capacity of Camry 2010 is 18.5 gallon while that of a Corolla 2010 is just 13.2 gallon. But it doesn't mean you will have to refuel your Corolla more often than if you drive a Camry, because its fuel economy according to EPA mileage estimates, are 26 mpg in city/ 35 mpg on highway whereas Camry only stands 22 mpg in city/ 33 mpg on highway.
Talking about their engine performance, the Corolla employs a 1.8L inline-four engine with a 5-speed manual gearbox. It can reach the top speed of 132 mph at 6,000 rpm horsepower.

Meanwhile, a Camry can rev up at 179 mph at the same horsepower with its 2.5L inline-four engine. The powerful model uses a 6-speed manual transmission.

Naijauto notes:

- Clearly, Toyota Corolla 2010 has better fuel efficiency though its fuel capacity is much smaller than Camry’s. Driving this car will save you thousands of naira spent at gas station.

- In reverse, the larger fuel tank allows Camry to gain much higher speed than Corolla, giving it an advantage in the speed-lovers’ eyes.

3. Safety features
- Pay more to get more. Toyota Camry obviously shows a higher degree of passengers’ safety with a number of added safety features that is absent in the Corolla.
- That doesn’t mean riding a Corolla is unsafe. Both these cars get good scores in IIHS and NHTSA safety tests, but if you are a really cautious drivers or just want extra peace of mind, go for a Camry.

5. Camry vs Corolla: Used car maintenance cost and customer reviews
You should know Toyota Corolla is a SmartChoice Maintenance Costs Award winner. That is to say, you don’t need to worry much about its annual maintenance cost. In fact, Toyota Corolla is one of the car model that is easiest to maintain in Nigeria due to the availability of mechanics who are qualified to properly service it.

According to YourMechanic, the average annual repair cost of a Toyota Corolla is around $393 (~141,600 naira).

Some of the most common services you will need for your Toyota Corolla during your ownership are:

Toyota Camry, on the other hand, is nominated the best out of 24 midsize cars in the US when it comes to average annual repair cost. Its approximate yearly cost for maintenance is $401, translating to N145,000. It’s higher than Corolla, but not much.

Take a look at the most common services done on Camrys shared by mechanics nationwide:

4. Conclusion
If you read closely what we just analyze for Camry vs Corolla used car battle, you must have the decision in your mind now.

For those who want to save more money and need a practical car for daily travel, Toyota Corolla, especially the ninth generation, is definitely our recommendation. Cheap price, lower maintenance cost and high fuel efficiency, is that enough to talk you into this model?
For others who emphasize driving experience, love speeding and need large cargo space, you must go for Toyota Camry the XV40 series. However, make sure you prepare a bit more money to acquire this car as well as feed its large fuel tank.
