I require information on VSAT provisioning and related licensing issues (if it applies to this situation)

1: VSAT for personal use - Internet, VOIP, Video etc
2: Does it matter if i source this service and equipment from the USA/Europe? am I breaking any NCC regulations by doing this?

Essentially, I do  not wish to use local service providers. aka Linkserve, NetCOM, Accellon, 21st Century etc

I dont know how informed you are abt VSAT,but i can tell u that you can buy ur bandwidth which is tha actuall service the NOC is giving u.

Your local Vendor will sell u just the hardware equipment,i suggest you liase with local VSAT vendor for more enquiries.in case you dont know mail me.

I don't think the NCC will bother you if you're not making any money from the VSAT.

you don't need any sort of licensing from NCC to own and and use a Vsat in Nigeria -even if you get the equipment and bandwidth from Europe or America
but  u do need expertise to install it and get it running
