If nothing else, Nigerians should learn a lesson from the Sudanese [not South Sudan] who rose up against the government of Al Bashir in Khatoun, which led to him stepping down. Nigerians should understand that those in power would NEVER willingly relinquish it. If you want to change the country you have to DEMAND change. It seems like Nigeria is one of the few countries in the world that its citizens are too AFRAID to rise up and demand that their failed government change, yet they would claim to be the Giant of Africa. Look at a country like Sudan, the citizens got tired of "being sick and tired" and ROSE up against their FAILED government. They took to the streets in nonviolent protests, were beaten, shot at but they persisted and in the end, the government FELL and the people won. The problem with the citizens is that "everyone wants to go to heaven but nobody wants to die [Peter Tosh]." No revolutionary change had ever occurred in human history without people paying the price for it.
