A Briton was among the two people shot dead at a Kajuru castle in Kaduna last Friday, by unknown gunmen who also abducted three others. The Briton who was shot dead at the Kajuru castle, Kaduna was identified as Faye Mooney, and it was gathered that she travelled from Lagos to have some fun at the resort when they were attacked around 11pm.


Before her death, she worked with a non-governmental organisation,  Mercy Corps, and she was reportedly killed alongside Mathew Oguche, a staff member of an international NGO, Safety Organisation.The British High Commission in a statement by the Head of Communications, Policy & Corporate Lead, Department for International Development, David Smith, in Abuja on Sunday,  explained that the deceased Briton’s next-of-kin had been notified.

Kidnapping was once prevalent in the south but the "cow boys" popularly called Fulani herdmen have found lot of profits from ransoms taken from their victims so it is now a big business venture in the north.They even have informants among the unsuspecting civilians who furnish them with the detailed information about the financial status of their potential victims so therefore be warned if you just hit a jackpot keep it to yourself and refrain from making noise about it.Nigerian problems are snowballing into complexity because our political elites are passive.

Time for the Government to acknowledge that we have a security problem and to fix it, or resign.
