Arab And White Man Colonialism And Slavery Compared by Nobody: 7:34pm On Sep 18, 2010
Afro-Arab relations in the Sudan and Mauritania have mainly been characterized by brutal wars, slavery, forced Islamisation and
Arabisation, the systematic destruction of indigenous cultures, values and civilizations coupled with insatiable territorial expansion on thepart of the [immigrant Arabs.] –[Garba Diallo, “Mauritania-The Other Apartheid” (1993)]
--------------------

We need to remind ourselves that Arab settler colonialism in Africa began with the Arab invasion of Egypt in 640 A.D. and persists today in Mauritania, Sudan and all of North Africa.

Please read attached document.

The Europeans did the exact same thing. Westernization, the systematic destruction of indigenous cultures, values and civilizations.-[Roger Pfister, "Apartheid South Africa and African States: From Pariah to Middle Power, 1962-1994" (2005)]
------------------------------------------------------------

We need to remind ourselves that White supremest Europeans settler colonialism in Africa began with the European invasion of West Africa and today persist throughout the whole of Africa.

@Op

You could only point to two places where the Arab "destroyed" yet we can point Numerous places, and FYI you will come across some people in Sudan who are by far darker in skin color than you and I, if you ask them whether they are black they will tell you they are arabs, so to understand the concept of the war in Sudan most especially you will have to look at things in their right context, Being Arab appears more to be in the context of Language speakers. Furthermore you said insatiable expansion, where did the Arabs expand to? the Arabs for all we know whee quite limited in the scope of their expansion as you will hardly hear of them in Places after the Northern frontier of Sub-Saharan Africa, in essence the alleged destruction of Afican Values was Limited in every sense of the word.

^^^ Translation?

Are you suggesting things are not be looked at in the right context, when there are evidences that suggest there is slavery still going on due to arab influence (Niger will be one place from the top of my head).

I have noticed, you try to put across the position of "right" "correct" etc all the time, do you mind actually telling us what is your own version of right?

Most Arabic cultures have a tendency to move across to other areas as the have what appears to be normandic-type of culture due to the region they live in - Deserted-type of landscape. Also, they are perceived as fighters and warriors, and quite rightly so, some will say. After all, if you are willing to move to other people's land then you must be ready to fight for the resources etc.

smh.
