What will happen in practice?

When you nationalise, you scare off investors both local and foreign fearful of suffering the same fate.

Secondly, nationalised companies are always badly run. Merit is thrown out through the door. They will soon employ too much workers and it becomes bloated. Profits drops or even disappears

The nationalised company becomes a source of patronage and corruption. As a private company, politicians couldn't tamper with it. As a state owned company, it is corruption galore.

If a president said he was going to print money so that the country will have plenty money, the poor will support him. But you know it will only make inflation soar.

Nationalisation is like that to investors. It may sound sweet to the man on the street but experienced investors know it's a recipe for economic ruin and that's the primary reason they will flee with their capital. There will be massive capital and brain flight from the country.

If he can do that to White South Africans, then imagine what he will do to black foreigners like Nigerians that they already hate so much, even hate more than their own white citizens. Redistribution of income and Nationalization is not always bad in the long run. A lots of State owned companies are working extremely well elsewhere in Asia, South America and even in some parts of Europe.

If nationalised companies are given to competent hands with vast experiences in their fields devoid of political interference, it will run efficiently and profitably.

Julius Malema is a socialist. i personally do not like socialists..funny enough he is rich..he lives in one of the elites regions of JB and is a member of an elite club...he is a freedom fighter that lives a rich life..i wonder what sort of leader he will be,anyway..he is no different from our typical politicians..he just know how to say what the people love to hear and lets see how he is going to nationalise asset and redistribute wealth..where in this world has wealth been redistributed well..all his plan are in paper nice but in reality unrealistic and very difficult to implement.

I kinda like Julius malema his views are Afrocentric, unlike some presidents that are Oyinbocentric

What drove poorer Africans to South Africa will now drive South Africans to other African countries or to the West.
