Is USA Shutting Down It's Border Against Nigerians? by Oblongata: 5:45pm On May 14, 2019
My dad whom had been given the visa 3 times in the past was recently refused. Even though he has 2 children who are naturalized and has grand children over there. He is way over 70 and has buoyant investment here to show that he would surely come back.

An immigration officer friend who has 3 stars was recently refused even with full regalia and good statement of account. His siblings are usa citizens and he wanted to visit them during his leave.

My friend that had been going with his family were all refused, they were given visas 4 times in the past and had been coming back in due time.

Further investigation on my whatsapp alumni group revealed many refusals from capable people with genuine intent, many of whom had been given before.

Rumors has it that the visa officials might be working with a quotation of visa which has been drastically reduced.

Even just yesterday, it was announced that no more drop box for renewals. Are we being shut down?

A friend that went for interview last week told me his interview lasted for 20 seconds, as if the vo already knew he would be refused even before the interview.

It is wiser you seek other opportunities for now, don't just dash your hard earned out...

No, the US embassies are not just doing extra scrutiny to Nigerians alone when it comes to approval or denials of their visas?

BTW, there's always two sides to every story. We are only reading from the side of the denied applicants and not the visa officers.

bros we know, scrutiny is allowed

But during Obama's regime it was far more lenient and people that had before found it way easier

You may be right.

But I'm guessing that might be why the number of Nigerians who also overstayed their presence in the US became very high too.

In fact, when some of them realized that changing their illegal presence in the US became tougher under Trump most of them started illegally crossing into Canada through the US-Canadian border claiming asylum.
