The day is over, the lone night is here. I sit to hear their song, to hear them sing to me. Beautiful creatures, who chirp songs, in a language only they know. A strange quiet surrounds me My soul, captured in ecstasy I hear the ticking of the clock, I feel the air on me I am lost, Lost in the melody they herald Here is, my smorgasbord of beautiful moments, this time, that I hold so dear As I'm comforted, in frith Clearness engulfs my heart Oh, this moment is all there is Flap, flap, I hear the fluttering of their wings My cronies gone, sans a peace out It's you who is here opening the Heavens, without a warning I see the glint of lightning Here I am, shivering in the chilly wind But I see you not I hear only the rumbles of thunder I see only flashes of lighting Will it not rain? Yesterday, you fell in torrents Will you wring just a few droplet today? Have you gone to the North or have you chosen the East? Have you made the South rainy? Can I wait for you tonight or do I wait some other time? Will it rain another day?
