There's no point avoiding or running away from our village people because they don't mean to hurt us most of the time as we erroneously imagine. Many don't travel to their villages again while some have cut off all communication channels with their village people just to prevent being spiritually harmed. What many people fail to realize is that spiritually wicked people can see and hurt them from anywhere.

Conversely, village people are usually happy to see you because they know you are part of their heritage. This is not to say that there are not wicked village people, but running away from them does not guarantee your security unless you are in God.

Below are five major reasons why you need not fear your village people but love and embrace them:

1. They know a lot about your origin. If indeed some of them want to monitor you, they will spiritually do that easily without even travelling to where you are. So, instead of planting bitterness in them when you avoid and forsake them, why not embrace them with wisdom?

2. They indeed want to be rubbing minds with you. They are happy that you guys are still alive. I remember when we travelled home for the first time from Lagos. The whole village were happy to see us. They said that they didn't believe our grand-father still had any child somewhere let alone grand-children because he left the village a long time ago. Since then, after returning to Lagos, the whole village like to rub minds with us.

3. They will be of help If you want to later go into business or politics in your place of origin.

4. You fall back to them when required by law to bring some documents from your LGA or traditional ruler of origin. That's usually required when applying for admission or government jobs.

5. Most of the time, they don't mean to kill you as assumed. And if some of them determine to hurt you, know that no one can do that successfully if God be for you.

Embrace your village people but you need to pray for wisdom to deal with them because some of them can indeed be too funny sometimes such as asking for money every time. It all requires wisdom!

The best set of people are actually in the so called villages. Especially places that are still bounded by the traditions and fear of abominations/sacrilege.

If you want to see vile and wicked people....look no further than your towns and big cities especially on the front rows of churches and mosques. Many of them can kill without baiting an eyelid.

Op I don't completely agree with no 2, yes the village people will smile and welcome but is the happiness genuine?

They will come to your house to greet your family and talk about how you and your siblings have grown or how the city food has made you all fat but is it just innocent talk?

They will touch your head and the rest of your body and hug you while laughing with your parents and also asking if you've gotten admission into the university but is all the touching without any evil intent?

Don't get me wrong not all village people are bad or want to see you never progress in life but we should always be mindful of people cause they are not always what they seem.
