BFM Online Heritage Resource On 50 Years of Independent UK Black Films

BFM online heritage resource: Have your say!

We’d like to invite you to influence an exciting new development for BFM.

BFM is seeking to create an online heritage resource of 50 years of independent UK black films.

By raising the profile of black cinema and creating this resource, we hope to make classic and independent films, which are currently difficult to access, available for individuals and institutions for many future generations.

We invite you to a discussion to tell you more about the concept and ask for your thoughts on the proposal. The workshop will take place at:

6pm on Tuesday 22nd May at a central London location.

The workshop will be facilitated by trained consultants who are involved in the research and there will be a total of ten people attending the session which will last an hour.

The sorts of topics to be discussed include:

Your thoughts on the concept
The BFM activities that you are interested in
Your opinions on an events and activities programme.
We hope you will be able to attend the session. The first ten people to reply will take part in the workshop and receive a ticket to a future film screening and a free copy of the latest bfm magazine. It would be helpful if you could confirm your willingness to attend by contacting heritage@bfmmedia.com no later than 7th May 2007.

If you are unable to attend but would still like to air your views, a survey will be placed on our website in the next few weeks until 25th May.

Check out http://www.bfmmedia.com/heritage.php to keep up to date with the project’s progress.
