The sentencing doesn't even make sense at all, she goes to jail for 75 years

while the real thieves like Obasanjo and others go scot free, where's the justice?

This judge should be commended, if all judges judge like him, the fight against corruption woulld have some meaning in Nigeria. He did the same for Olabode George of PDP who is currently serving 2yrs jail term without option of fine.

Igbinedion is still a free man. Wat a legal system. This kind of legal system only translates into: Plenty money, less jail terms with sluggish judicial process. Little money, express judicial process and lengthy sentencing.

Seriously, why are many of the people commenting here so mentally challenged?

1. For those complaining about the '75' years, read the bloody article. She'll spend only 10 years in jail in total.
2. The other ones babbling about Lucky igbinedion and Bode George are even more foolish. Is this Judge the only one in Nigeria? So because Lucky got off scot-free (thanks to inept prosecution and poor handling from Ribadu's EFCC), all other judges in Nigeria should let other devious crooks off?
Perhaps the Police should let off all the murderers in prison because Bola Ige's killers have not been found?

Petty or not, thieves are thieves. We catch them and put them away, they can't scam or hurt anyone else. If you have seen an old man crying at a bank after ATM fraudsters made off with most of his life savings, you won't be spouting this rubbish.

i just knw him nw and he has gave judgement in the past that suppose to last eternity not 2yrs on different count charges<bode george> so i think he need to use his experience to judge while on seat at the court house for any case watsoeva regardless of the personality,but come to think of it he is nt the only judge in nigeria.

Well, No one is supporting fraudulent activities but if you calling our attention to the Old man with missing money at the ATM, then i will call your attention to millions of people in Nigeria starving and dying daily as a result of poor governance by the wicked leaders.

I live among the rich and it is very glaring 80% of Nigerians live on stolen money from office, street or diaspora. I'm not proud of this but it's the fact, Like my Mother would say, " A child that is not properly built will sell the house you built as a parent"

Nigerian government should stop pushing people to the wall and except them to remain saints; hunger is not a good thing! You can't deal with been homeless!

I am a Cisco internetwork professional- spent so much to get to this stage, Not everyone has the opportunity, If only we have leaders with conscience, there would be more peace and sanity.

I think the detail of the two sentences are different, Bode George was not found guilty for advanced fee fraud but for not following due process and disobedience to constituted authority, while this lady was sentenced for fraud.

Let's not discredit our judiciary without genuine reasons. Prosecution and attorneys are very significant in justice delivery, it is not the job of the judge alone. Some attorneys are smart and can muddle cases up especially where it involves high networth people.


The recent case of the former governor of Illinois who was alleged to have attempted to sell Obama's senate seat to Rev. Jesse Jackson's son but who was acquited of all but one of the charges is a vivid example.

EFCC and the Judges are all Fraudsters, Why should you sentence little girl to 75 Years, when all the Criminals in Nigeria are walking Freely. we need Justice in Nigeria. Mrs Ibru was only given 6 month, Igbenedion is still growing his Mustache,Obasanjo and His Daughter Iyabo are the greatest Criminal Nigeria ever had, and they are walking freely.
