Python ( EKE) is a scared entity in many parts of Igbo land, Nnewi City inclusive.

It is believed to be a guardian “Angel” to many Igbo Communities, thus it’s forbidden to be killed. In most cases, anybody that kills a Python is forced to organise a Burial Ceremony for it.

A young lady by name Chidinma Ofoegbu has taken to her Facebook timeline to express her disappointment towards people who kill Python known as Eke in Igbo Land

Chidinma, while expressing disappointment, claimed that Python is a sacred animal and a messenger of the gods and this is why some villagers don’t kill it up till today.
