Languages can divide a group of people or bring them closer to each other. For instance, if you work into a room that has language speakers different from yours, God helps you if they decide to harbour some sinister motives against you. In another vein, if someone who speaks a language you understand is to schedule a meeting with you, you will likely enjoy it.
In your career, there are areas were learning a different language will be beneficial for you.
These five reasons will help you consider your choice of learning languages for career growth.

Makes You a Strong Applicants to Multinational Companies
For companies that have branches in different countries, someone who knows a foreign language can be a good candidate to fill certain positions in foreign countries.
For instance, if you can speak German and your company needs someone who will need to travel to Germany for business purposes, the choice will narrow abruptly.

Gives You Something to Add to Your CV
You might think language is just language.
Like some recruiters say languages don't matter. Well, it does.
Adding a foreign language to your CV makes an employer take you as someone who is a go-getter. This is even more intriguing if the language does not have an affinity with you. Imagine a Nigerian speaking Spanish when he does not have anything to do with Spain.

Since the last fifty years, more countries are becoming prosperous. These countries have languages different from English. For instance, India overtook the UK as the world's fifth biggest economy. India has different languages but some of them are becoming international. Same goes with Chinese and some other Asian Languages.
Learning a new language can help you start a career as a translator or an interpreter. These jobs are growing with trends showing a 25% growth annually.
