Alexander was in Secondary school when he first heard about ExxonMobil. Growing up in Akwa Ibom State, he would often hear his teachers make remarks about working in the company, saying that it was one of the best oil and gas companies to work in Nigeria.

At the time, Alex had no interest, although he was a Science inclined student. One day after his National Diploma, his father made him an offer to attend a Training school there in Akwa Ibom State, instead of looking for Direct Entry into the University to study Engineering. He never understood why until he got to find out that that particular school was his gateway to Exxon Mobil!
