I mean, the Phantom 9, a Helio p35 device, is selling for 60k+, yet you can get the Redmi Note 7 3GB/32GB for 58k.

Why do these companies keep bringing out very low-end products with steep prices and why do you fanboys keep hailing them? Because sometimes it seems you people are under a spell. Why rejoice over a Helio p35 device in 2019?

I'm asking questions to find out maybe there's a hidden benefit or gain in buying these devices that we, non fanboys and non marketers aren't aware of.

How do they advice people to buy a Phantom 9 for 60k when Nokia, Xiaomi, Huawei and Samsung have cheaper and better alternatives?

Tecno is the main reason many young Nigerians were able to experience Android years ago .The Galaxy ace was 45k at the time while the Tecno m3 was 15k.The other manufacturers have now caught up so obviously Tecno needs to buckle up and compete.

They made the economy bad and made us poor. Bad exchange rates led to the perceived expensive prices back then

You can't compare the poverty level of Nigeria with India, the former is higher than the later. That is the more reason Samsung still have tough time selling their brand.
