According to the video making rounds, every drop of oil, pipeline, oil field, well and barrels are monitored and accounted for in the room.

Everything in the room is automated, to checkmate oil theft and pipeline vandalization.

The proven oil reserves in Saudi Arabia are the 2nd largest in the world, estimated to be 268 billion barrels (43×109 m3) (Gbbl hereafter), including 2.5 Gbbl in the Saudi–Kuwaiti neutral zone. They are predominantly found in the Eastern Province.

These reserves were the largest in the world until Venezuela announced they had increased their proven reserves to 297 Gbbl in January 2011.

The Saudi reserves are about one-fifth of the world's total conventional oil reserves, a large fraction of these reserves comes from a small number of very large oil fields, and past production amounts to 40% of the stated reserves.

Actually, the Saudi govt really needs to take their oil matter very seriously since that is their major source of national income, followed by tourism (Muslim hajj).

Pls don't get me wrong when I described Muslim hajj as tourism, because in the final analysis, it actually is a tourism from economic point of view, though it is a religious obligation to be fulfilled by the financially and physically able Muslims.

Nigerian govt should take a cue from this and maximise its source of income. Though oil is not the major source of income among the populace, it accounts for over 70% of the national income and it should be properly handled and well managed.

Our ogas at the top don get idea to take thief money...
