1996 Olympics gold medalist, Asistant Commissioner of Police Chioma Ajunwa joined Nollywood stars Osita Iheme (Pawpaw), Rachel Okonkwo and Chinenye Uyanna for the launching of the Desire Oparanozie Foundation on Thursday the 18th and Friday the 19th of July, 2019.

Other stars at the event included beach soccer legend Abu Azeez, Botswanan Olympics silver medalist Nijel Amos and Nigerian football star Mfon Udoh.


Super Falcons captain, Desire Oparanozie visited secondary schools in Owerri on Thursday to speak to the children and encourage them to work hard for success in both their academics and in sports. She also visited the Imo State first lady, Mrs Ebere Ihedioha and the Imo State commissioner of police Rabiu Ladodo.

There was a football tournament for secondary schools in Owerri on Friday and the final activity to mark the launch of the foundation was an after party on Friday night.
