7 years is quite a long time.

With inflation rate at almost 12%, 15.5% interest rate will make only a litttle difference.

Good one nonetheless.

Nigeria's consumer price inflation fell to 11.22 percent year-on-year in June 2019 from 11.40 percent in the previous month. That was the lowest inflation rate since July 2018, as prices rose at a softer pace for almost all categories. Annual core inflation, which excludes price of volatile agricultural products, fell to 8.84 percent in June, its lowest level since January 2016. Inflation Rate in Nigeria averaged 12.44 percent from 1996 until 2019, reaching an all time high of 47.56 percent in January of 1996 and a record low of -2.49 percent in January of 2000.

These bonds are targeted at institutional investors (insurance companies, pension funds, etc.), rather than retail investors. Accordingly, a seven years tenor would be properly categorized as Medium-Term (5-10 years).

CBN lending rate is below 15.5% actually.
then, why can't they borrow from the Cbn instead?

Exactly! compound returns with t-bills annually rather than tie down the money for that long.
Is there any hope of TBills reaching 15% to 18% in future because the rate is going down?

Hope you know the bond is Tier 2?

Check Basel for the meaning of that before you buy...

I am not above learning please, educate us.
Thanks.
