Ways android can get viruses

1. Through Apps

Android can get a virus through apps, if you download an app from the internet that has virus in it and install it on your android or even ios device, the app will automatically transmit the virus it has into your smartphone or computer.
This is one of the common ways bad guys use to spread virus on several smartphones, so make sure you read the description of an app you want to download or if on playstore, check whether it is verified by play protect.

2. Through Emails Attachments
Yes you can get a virus through emails, if more

2. Through Emails Attachments
Yes you can get a virus through emails,
if somebody sends you an email which
has virus and you open it, the virus
inside that email will affect your
Android smartphone.
For example, if someone sends an
infected PDF file to you through email
and you open it, the virus is going to
enter your smartphone.
3.Through SMS or Bad websites
Your Android can get viruses through
SMS or bad websites, for example,
someone might send you a text
message with a link containing virus,
so if you open the link, your android
will be affected with a virus
immediately.
So you are advised to know the kind of
text messages link you click for your
safety.
Now you might ask what are the ways
to know if your Android has virus.
Don’t worry, we are going to get to
that in a bit.
How to know if your phone has virus
1. The battery gets drained faster
Now, modern smartphones have a
much stronger battery than their
predecessors.
So in particular models can work for as
long as two days on a single charge.
If you begin to notice that the battery
of your smartphone depletes faster
than before, the device may be
infected with a virus or malware.
Most viruses don’t give away their
presence, they function in the
background, and that’s what makes
your battery run out so quickly.
2. Disruptions during Calls
If your calls often drop, or you have
strange disruptions during
conversations.
This shouldn’t ring alarm bells.
Naturally, you may just have problems
with connection or your carrier.
Bad weather may also affect your
phone calls. But if this situation repeats
time after time, it might be a virus,
many of them have a bad influence on
the quality of your phone calls.
3. You noticed outgoing calls
You should be suspicious if you start to
notice outgoing phone calls you didn’t
make or text you didn’t send. If no
friend or family member used your
phone, the chances are high that your
gadget is infected with a virus.
Some viruses are created specifically to
send messages and make calls from a
smartphone.
And this is how they replicate.
So if your friends get spam messages
with suspicious links from you, your
phone must have caught a virus.

4. Constant pop ups
Now in most cases, constant ads and
pop ups appearing on the screen aren’t
sure signs of a smartphone virus.
You probably downloaded an app with
adware on your gadget.
Such pop ups are often connected with
suspicious websites.
If you click on a link offered by a pop
up ads, a new portion of viruses may
infiltrate your phone.
Check your latest apps to find out
which one brought along the ads
where as soon as you figure it out,
uninstall it immediately.
5. There are unfamiliar apps on your
phone.
A very common sign of a virus is the
appearance of unfamiliar apps on your
phone.
You know for sure that you have install
them, but they do exist. it simple.
Mobile viruses tends to install other
harmful malware on your device. This
helps them to work in tandem and
gain strength
6. You android phone over heats.
Infected phones often suffer from
overheating, viruses and worms use
your smartphones resources, putting a
serious strain on the gadget.
As a result, it becomes hot to the touch.
You should know that if your device
has become too slow and heats up
even when you don’t use it much, it’s
most likely infected with a virus.
7. Increase in data usage
If your smartphone is infected with a
virus, you might spot a noticeable
increase in data usage.
A malicious bug can use the data
source of your gadget to send out an
information and show pop up ads.
Luckily, you can deal with this
problem.
Android phones have settings that can
help you manage your data usage.
Choose wireless and networks in the
settings menu, then tap data usage and
pick set mobile data limit.
Now adjust the sliders to set your limit.

8. Mysterious charges on your phone
bill
An enormous phone bill is a sure sign
that your smartphone has caught a
virus.
Some malware sends out a huge
number of messages until you’re left
with a significant phone bill.
Other viruses act more carefully and
send one or two messages a month to
not racist patients.
In addition, they may simply
uninstalled themselves after they’ve
punched a hole in your finances.
Pay close attention not only to your
phone bills, but to all other bills as
well.
Strange subscribe fees or mysterious
charges may indicate that one of your
gadgets has gotten infected.
9. Frequent program crashes
If a game you’re playing on your
smartphone suddenly crashes for the
first time, it’s suspicious.
But if this starts to occur repeatedly,
something has definitely gone wrong.
Almost all viruses affect the apps you
have on your phone. As a result,
programs don’t load as they should or
crash unexpectedly.
Another example may be a missing
Bluetooth icon or any other icon on the
screen.
They may not be displayed if your
smartphone is infected.
If you notice any of the above
symptoms on your device and suspect
you might have a virus, there are a few
different methods you can try to
remove it.

1. Run a phone virus scan
Google Play is full of antivirus apps that
you can use to scan for and remove a
virus from your phone.
Here’s how to download and run a
virus scan using the free AVG AntiVirus
for Android app, which scans apps and
files for threats in real-time.
Go to the Google Play Store and
download and install AVG AntiVirus
for Android
Open the app and tap the Scan
button
Wait while the app scans and checks
your apps and files for any malicious
software
If a threat is found, tap Resolve
Uninstall the malicious app
That’s it
How to prevent your phone from
getting virus
The best way to prevent a virus or
other form of malware from infecting
your phone is to revolt against
technology and stop using a
smartphone.
No? Okay, then if you use an Android
device, you better make sure you’re
using a reliable antivirus app, such as
AVG AntiVirus for Android, that can
scan your apps and files for any threats
that may try to compromise your
device or personal information.
As mentioned earlier, you should really
be avoiding third-party app stores.
Yes, malware does make its way onto
Google Play from time to time, but this
will still help Android users avoid the
vast majority of threats.
As for iOS users, reconsider jailbreaking
your iPhone. It’s not worth putting
your device at risk.
