Before reading this, I'd like to let you know that i tried my best to be accurate and unbiased when compiling the List of Artistes for this Article.

The below Artistes were phenomenal in some era in the Nigerian Music Industry but right now they're gradually losing it. They barely get our attention like they used to.

We don't know what they're doing wrong, but one thing we do know is that whatever they're doing right now... It is obviously not working for them positively.

JustNaija.com List: Five Top Nigerian Artistes That Are No Longer Hit Makers

5. Tekno

Tekno used to be one of the top 5 Nigerian Artistes in 2016 after releasing alot of back to back Hit tracks. The hit song that really skyrocket his already great Career in 2016 back then was "Pana". Pana was so big in Nigeria, Africa and even in some parts of America that he was listed amongst the Top 5 Artistes In Nigeria 2016.

After having Vocal Cord Issues some months ago, Tekno has been having difficulty in putting himself back to the List of Top Nigerian Artistes. His songs lately are no longer meeting our expectations like before.
We hope he regains his past musical ability and come back with a mind-blowing hit track like the Tekno Miles we used to know.

4. Falz

Falz The Bahd Guy used to be a Constant hit maker. Since the release of Soft Work, Falz has been dropping hits such as Soldier, La Fete, Jeje, Something Light, Bahd Baddo Baddest and even the then-controversial song, This Is Nigeria.

In 2019 Falz is yet to drop a Major hit track. Though his fourth album tittled ”Moral Instruction” is dope, but if we're to be honest with ourselves we'll all agree that there was no Major Hit Track from the Album. We can't blame Falz too much as he double as a Nollywood Actor and a Musician which means he has alot of projects to work on.

3. Duncan Mighty

Duncan Mighty used to be one of the top dogs in the music game in 2018. After a successful mind-blowing collaboration with Starboy Wizkid, Duncan Mighty became a beast when featured on a Song. He became an Instrument of making a song a hit as long as he puts his verse on it.

He began gaining alot of attention after the release of "Fake Love" by Starboy Entertainment featuring him and Wizkid. Alot of Nigerian Artistes who have long forgotten about Portharcourt's First Son began contacting him for collaboration.

Duncan Mighty was the rave of the moment in early 2018. He was so big that top stars like Tiwa Savage and Davido went to meet him for Collaborations as they needed his magic verse to make their songs a hit.

After successful collaboration with African Bad Gyal, Tiwa Savage on Lova Lova, Duncan Mighty was featured on a track with the DMW crew (Davido & Peruzzi) titled "Aza".

After the successful release of "Aza", the magic touch of Duncan Mighty died immediately as Aza was criticized by fans for being below expectations, although the song later became a Club banger.

Since then Duncan Mighty is yet to drop a hit track and also unable to make songs he's featured on, a hit.

2. Tiwa Savage

Yes, Tiwa Savage. Alot of her die-hard fans will find this unappealing and inaccurate. But we should also agree that Tiwa Savage has been having difficulty in dropping a hit track since "Lova Lova" in 2018. Aside that, it should also be noted that Tiwa Savage is yet to have a hit-single since her 2017 hit "All Over". One would wonder if she's the Female version of DMW's Peruzzi.

Tiwa Savage is also having difficulty in dropping a hit track in 2019 and the Year is getting closer to the End. Unlike other Female Artistes such as Teni and Simi who are dropping hit singles effortlessly, one would wonder if they'd be able to take her place as the No.1 Female Musician in Nigeria.

1. Yemi Alade

It won't be a surprise to have the "Johnny" Mega Hit Maker, Yemi Alade on the List of Top Nigerian Artistes That Are No Longer Hit Makers.

After successful release of the mega hit track, "Johnny" in 2013, Yemi Alade has been having difficulty in dropping a track that is Close to, Good as or even as Big as "Johnny".

Although it seems she's doing well outside Nigeria as she is always among the list of Nigerian Artistes getting International Recognition surprisingly even more than Tiwa Savage.

Even if she's doing well outside Nigeria, one can't ignore the fact that she's fading away in the Nigerian Music Industry as Naija Music lovers can barely list her hit tracks since the release of Johnny.

So this is JustNaija List of 5 Top Nigerian Artistes that are having difficulty in dropping Hit Songs in the Nigerian Music Industry. If you like the Article, Share this to your Family & Friends.
