Yes that's how it is, it's turn by turn and hirachcy by the Chiefs who later becomes to olumba Dan as time goes on..some of the chief couldn't make it because they die along the way or are bed ridden by old age ailment... Former governor Adewolu Ladoja is two steps away to be the olubadan as well and according to his status as a chief

That's if the the present Otun is still alive, if the present Otun dies and the king pass on, then Ladoja becomes Olubadan...... The present king was fourth to the throne but the death of his two senior ensured the crown goes to him when the late king passed on..... Theres also two lines on the chieftaincy ladder, the Otun line(Civilian) and Balogun line(Warriors) ,the crown alternates between the two lines..... The present king is of the Otun line, the next king will be the chief who is the present otun olubadan (High Chief Lekan Balogun) of the balogun line..........

we have the Otun and Osi line, the current Oba is from the Osi line, therefore the next Oba will be from the Otun line, Lekan Balogun is the next Oba as Ladoja is on the Osi line which the current King is from.
