As Nigeria seeks diplomatic resolution on the attack of its nationals in South Africa, indigenous carrier – Air Peace on Wednesday offered to repatriate those stranded.

The offer, the airline, said was a sign of its solidarity with President Muhammadu Buhari administration.

The Chairman of the airline, Allen Onyema, made the announcement while sympathizing with the victims who lost their lives and properties in the attacks.

According to him, the airline decided to bring back Nigerians in support of the action already taken by the federal government.
In reaction to the attacks in South Africa, the Buhari administration has recalled Nigeria’s High Commissioner to South Africa.

It also pulled out with some other African leaders who pulled out of World Economic Summit taking place in Cape Town.

In a letter addressed to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, on September 4, 2019, Air Peace expressed readiness to evacuate Nigerians who are willing to leave the country and said that the airline would dispatch its flights to Johannesburg once the arrangement has been completed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

“The xenophobic attacks on Nigerians in South Africa are an unfortunate incident and we cannot fold our hands and watch our fellow Nigerians be killed by South Africans.

Nigeria has recalled its Ambassador to South Africa.

The nation has also pulled out of the World Economic Summit.

It also demanded full compensation, the News Agency of Nigeria has reported, quoting a “presidential source.”

So they should stay there and die? We have many flaws as a nation but we're not barbarians. SA is country full of barbarian even their President is a notorious idiot. That unfortunate man has not said anything till date in condemnation of such an unfortunate attack which literally means he is in full support. They will soon hear it

Compensation of destroyed properties is a welcome development but for the lives lost?? I don't think no compensation can bring back the lives that was lost. Nigeria should severe ties with S.A!!! Nelson Mandela wept for this useless citizens of SA,he must have knew his citizens are barbarian. Shame on them!!!

My fear here is,
Shey the planes will be station at different airports in SA, how will the stranded Nigerians there, hiding be able to make it to the airports,

This is a case of calling Nigerians in a hostile place where dey are been target to rendezvous at a particular location, how will they make it alive since they have decided to fight back and infuriate the SA's more.

Except helicopter will be allowed to pick them up from the streets to the airports.

Oby is in SA now for World Economic summit where the poor Nigerians are been massacred in cold blood but I didn't hear anybody shouting "betrayers"....

But if it was a Yoruba politician the whole cyberspace would have been painted with "sell out! betrayers!! Afonja!!!" by her kinsmen.

Funny people. cool
