I think the haters need to cool down.
Kids have been taught from age 4 to always play to the whistle. . . . not to talk of an experienced goalie like Gomes.

Also another point a lot of people have failed to realise is that when Nani put the ball in the net, the linesman DID not raise his flag up immediately and was running back towards the halfway line instead.

It was when Gomes started running towards him that he eventually put his flag up.

The time between the ball hitting the back of the net and the linesman raising his flag up was 6 seconds. 6 whole seconds.
