I drive a toyoya corolla 2004, I recently observed that the car intermittently shakes whenever am in traffic, however when in motion this isn't observed. Please advise what could be the cause of this problem.

I am not an auto tech guru , but from my personal experience the problem might be from one of your engine seat. Let your mechanic check the engine seat.

Its a misfire one of your spark plug or spark plug wire is not in good condition, did you have someone service it recently?
Stick to spark plugs( use the right ones) and don't let them adjust anything else.

i totally agree with kayoday, ur engine sit need to be fix. Vibration during Hold-up is caused by engine seat.

thanks sultan for the advice. it actually started b4 d car servicing. I think we'll explore the spark plugs side first before adjusting any other thing

and please guys like how much does it cost to fix engine seat in case that's d problem.

Keyword here is intermittent vibration at idle, not constant vibration

Thanks sultaan, I had my mecho look over it yesterday. Unfortunately the car turned me to a liar, it didn't shake at all for the time he came around. it was a bit late though like 8pm. However he's suspecting the car ac, u know that the shaking might be because of the ac switching on and off. and i remember the ac wirin was fixed to bypass the panel near the battery. anyways he will change the spark plugs and the fuel filter at the next service.

If a mechanic will bypass a 2004 car, you don't want him to go further, its out of bounds now.

I'll advice u check ur plate/disc. Engine seat can only cause very little vibration
