Help Our Children Are Dumb In Our Native Tongues

Due to the movement of people in search of green pasture, the different ethnic groups in this country have left their

villages and spread over different parts of the world. This in many respect is good for the individuals pocket, but

what happens to ethnic identity? In a situation where the children of most of us struggle to speak in our native

tongues or can't even speak at all,What do we do?

When you look at any ethnic group in diaspora, you discover a generation of our children who can not fit into the

ways of our culture, cannot write correctly in their native tongue, and does not know how to greet elders when

home on visits. In every part of Nigeria for instance, you see Igbo children who can speak english  and the local

language very well but cannot construct a correct sentence in Igbo. Some even hear but can not speak at all.

On behalf of all suffering parents I cry: Can somebody tell such as are suffering like this what to do to help our children ?
