hi, i need to build a wall on top of an existing wall,the existing wall is 1.8mtr high and 220mm thick and 40mtr long, my new wall will be fixed on top of this wall and will be 16mtr long by 1.8mtr high, my plan is to drill and insert 16mm rods into the old wall 230mm apart and 12mm rods 230mm apart across, on the back of this wall i will be installing conrete pillars 600mm X 420mm at 2.3 mtr apart from the floor to support this new wall, the pillars will have three 16mm x 4mtr rods which will join to the 2 rods in the wall reinforcing to form a square, this whole wall and pillars will be formed with steel formwork, is this sufficient strength for this wall as its main function is to prevent a 8ton frontend loader from breaking and going through, the front end loader will be loading Basgasse[ a material that is a by product from sugar cane] into a trailer that will be parked on the other side of this wall. will my construction be strong enough?
