The Consul-General, United States Mission in Nigeria, Ms. Claire Pierangelo, accompanied by the Director, Centre for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), Mr. Mahesh Swaminathan and others including a delegation from Caritas Nigeria, paid a courtesy call this evening, on Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi of Enugu State, ahead of tomorrow's official launch of Enugu State Antiretroviral Therapy Surge programme by the governor. The Consul-General who was delighted to be in Enugu, advocated for greater collaboration with the state government in the prevention, treatment and reduction of spread of HIV in the state. Bighead9: I weep for you bro. There was no indication of the number of affected in Enugu or the rats compared to others. How did you arrive at your conclusion? Should you ever have to stop and think some day in the future, remember that having the highest number of patients does not necessarily mean having the highest number of infected from the place. The number of patients could be as rest of affected population in the area, or the quality of care in the area compare to neighbours area hence the influx of patients form out of state etc. 1 Like |
