I think what custom needs to do is to give this consignments. Taxes and charges to pay. Noo need allowing those goods rots in border. (non contraband only).
People involved are already in desperate. Pity them.

The sudden closure of the land border I feel is not the best way. I feel the Government should have sensitized the people on the plan at least for two months. It is wickedness to just wake up one day and shut the borders thereby subjecting people to undue hardship and poverty.

Do you warn thieves of your planned actions to nab them? Why do you now expect the FG to warn smugglers of its plan to deal with them?
