Yesterday, Nigerians were treated to another round of mis-decision shock-a-thon by the Nigeria Football Federation. The men in charge of that football governing body, decided that a team that had just given the country her first trophy in nearly four years were only worthy of being transported in a ramshackle 'glorified molue' that in reality was a vehicle used to carry goods between terminals at the airport.

The truck (XK 146 LND belonging to Oyege Transport Company) did not only look weather-beaten, but obviously seemed only befitting for its original job - carrying cargo between terminals.

For years, Nigerians have suspected that the ones who rule the game have no iota of respect for the female game. Yet, these particular set of Ladies - Super Falcons - have won more laurels than any other team under the care of the federation.

Again, many have had reasons to believe that the current set of administrators in the house of Nigerian football, have no idea how to treat the game and are only there to loaf on until their terms expire and they attempt to win another term of office. If those that thought along this line were being labeled detractors before, what happened at the Murtala Mohammed International Airport yesterday should make those set of people to be vindicated, and should also tell every Nigerians that this current set in power at the NFF has nothing to offer.

If at all they had been caught off-guard as what to do when the ladies arrived from their successful expedition to South Africa, where they had gone to fight and had fully conquered, then we had thought commonsense should have told these federation men that rather than demeaning these heroines with transportation that is fit for only baggage carrying, they should have simply postponed their public display and rushed home to their Abuja base with their tails tucked inside their flowing regalia, to re-plan and re-strategise.

With what happened yesterday, the men of the federation - coincidentally, there is no woman among them - have shown how bereft of ideas they are. And that there is no woman among them should not be made the excuse for lack of commonsense. The Nigerian world already believed their ilk have no love for the female game. And this goes on to confirm the belief that has been rife in the land for years that the female playing family of the game had always been treated like third class citizens by both administrators and governments

who said this jungle is a country?

This is a total disgrace!!! These wild animals in NFA should all be sacked. Why can't ex-Nigerian football stars handle the office?
